I am not much of a gamer but BIOSHOCK and BIOSHOCK2 are very fun. I am new to first person shooters. This game was challenging enough for me without being impossible. The graphics are incredible.

I have a 13" MacBook Pro without retina display and have the graphic setting at the lowest setting and the game constantly freezes and "whites" out. I cant continue with the game and really cant play it anymore - waste of money due to graphic issues.

I was never able to play this game. I am running this on my new 2013 MBP with retina screen, with highest end processor and memory, yet it plays garbled video every time I start up the game and get past the main menu. Such a waste of $$$.

After the intro, his hand is still there with the swipe marks.. Makes the game unplayable. Very disappointed

I played it and finished it for three times, it is a great game and works perfect on 2011 macpro 15 inch,

My game keeps crashing at what seems to be the transition from the first level to the second. I tried lowering the resolution but it didnt help. (I played all of Bioshock One on the highst resolution and never had any problems). I hope this can be fixed soon. I have 13’ Macbook Pro with a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5, and 4GB of memory.

Bioshock 2 has been great until I stumble upon the Ryan Ammusements level. It won’t let me go to it! It crashes on me. Please fix! I want to finish the game! I’ll give it a better rating once glitch is fixed.

The game keep on jumping out to Finder whenever I finish Pauper’s Drop. WHY??? I use minimum settings at 1024 x 620. What is the problem? I mean if I have run so smoothly with the normal settings on my macbook pro from the starting story mode, why it stopped suddenly after finishing Pauper’s Drop? Please assist. Thanks~~~

Love this game just as much as the original

I played the first bioshock game and loved it. So when I saw bioshock 2 I got it in a heartbeat and loved what I saw, until level 2. The game crashes on the the loading screen between levels 2 and three. Also some of the graphics look glossed over without alot of texture, especially on teh big daddys. Please Update.

This game looks beautiful. The acting is superb, the action is great, and the music is beautiful… I love it. Until I get to the load screen for The Atlantic Express. The it crashes to my desktop. I’ve tried loading it several times on different settings to see if it was a configuration error, but unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any obvious reason for it to be happening. Is there a way to possibly fix this bug? I will upgrade my review once the bug has been patched.

Game was running great until I made it to 2nd level. As the board is loading the game crashes every time. Please fix this !!! update: FIxed it by lowering the resolution before goin to the next level. Then after level loads I put the resolution back up. Seems to work for now and Feral Interactive Support reponded that they are trying to fix problem .. Its a great game.. love the series well worth the low price

Keeps crashing a loading screen right after first seafloor walk!!!! FIX or tell me what i can do to fix it.

totally stops working loading into the second level can’t believe I waste money on this please fix it so I can play the game.

I’ve become a pretty big fan of the bioshock series. But since my dell broke I decided to switch over to mac. Since I can’t always get the games I want on steam now, I’ve had to resort to using the app store. From what I can play, I like the game: fun, good graphics, nice story. However, by the end of the first 20 minutes or so, the game quits on me, and there’s nothing I’ve found to fix it. I wish there was more user support for this game, otherwise I spent $20 for nothing, and I don’t like throwing money away.

Crashes after the first 10 minutes of playing. running on a MBP Retina 15”

This game was great when it was released on console and PC years ago, and it’s great now. It runs well with settings maxed on my Intel HD 5000 which means it looks amazing. I personally love the story, but some people expected it to be Bioshock 1. They should have just re-played Bioshock if they really wanted Bioshock that much. Anyhow. Under “advanced settings” in the launcher put “-dx9” without the “”. I know it’s not Windows but it still forces the renderer to skip over a buggy portion of code. You’ll load in fine and shouldn’t have any crashes. Enjoy re-visiting Rapture, learning more about it, and the great (but very different) story!
